Two phases
The Gondola climbs in two stages and takes you close to 4,000 m at its highest point. Phase 2 is weather-dependent and can close at short notice.
Best time
Early morning for clearer views. In winter, snow conditions matter more than the clock.
Dress and prepare
Even in summer the top is cold and windy. Bring windproof layers, gloves and sunglasses.
